Fill in your shift times on the left and click Calculate to see your total hours worked.
To find out how many hours you worked, take your end time and subtract your start time. Then remove any unpaid break time from that total. The result is your net hours worked for that shift.
For example, if you clocked in at 8:30 AM, clocked out at 5:00 PM, and took a 30-minute lunch, your gross time is 8.5 hours. Subtract 0.5 hours for the break, and you worked a net 8 hours. If you track multiple shifts across a full week, use our timecard calculator to add up all your daily hours in one place.
If you need to calculate overtime on top of your total, use this overtime calculator once you know your total hours worked.
The math behind tracking your hours:
Example: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM = 8.5 hrs gross. − 30 min break = 8.0 net hours. At $22/hr that is $176.00 for the shift.
